Abidjan Bitcoin Meetup

Founded in mid-2023, Abidjan Bitcoin Meetup started with the goal of fostering a unified Bitcoin community in Côte d’Ivoire. The first meetup, enabled by a generous donation of books from Science, marked the successful creation of a community library. This library provides free access to Bitcoin-related materials and serves as a hub for financial education.

• 2023: Launch of the Abidjan Bitcoin Meetup, successfully hosting the first event that brought together Bitcoin enthusiasts across Côte d’Ivoire.
• Creation of the Bitcoin Library: With resources donated through the community’s efforts, a library of Bitcoin-focused books was made available for free circulation.
• Educational Outreach: A plan was set in motion to engage top-performing students from Abidjan’s schools in upcoming meetups to further the cause of financial literacy.

Abidjan Bitcoin Meetup aims to grow its community library by acquiring more educational books to benefit the brightest students from Abidjan’s schools. These students will be invited to future meetups, where they will receive books and gain firsthand exposure to Bitcoin principles. By incorporating financial education into the academic ecosystem, the project envisions shaping an enlightened generation of African leaders.
