The project was born in Rolante through Ricardo Stim and Camila’s vision, paying local services in BTC since 2021 to build trust. A friend shared Ricardo’s educational PDF with ACISA, the local Commerce Association, which hosted the first talk in Mar/2023. Merchants joined en masse, forming groups and meetings—the true local engine. Success came from unity: 50 packed spots grew to 200+ merchants, proving our community’s strength.

• Jun/2024: Hospital rebuilt post-floods, restoring services swiftly.
• Nov/2024: Start of river monitoring project.
• Mar/2025: First gas station (Gasfort) accepts BTC at the pump.
• Aug/2025: Rolante declared State Bitcoin Capital (Law No. 16.312).
