About the project

Bitcoin Africa Story is a grassroots initiative on a mission to educate, empower, and onboard individuals and communities across Nigeria and Africa into the Bitcoin ecosystem. We believe Bitcoin adoption starts with understanding — and we’re building a movement from the ground up.

Africa faces rising inflation, broken monetary systems, and limited access to global financial tools. While Bitcoin offers a solution, most people lack education, trusted information, or a local entry point. Without guidance, many fall for scams or abandon Bitcoin altogether.

Bitcoin Africa Story addresses this by:

Offering free Bitcoin education online and in person
Teaching skills to help learners contribute to the Bitcoin ecosystem (not yet)
Building a community of Bitcoin contributors
Sharing real stories from African Bitcoiners
Gradually onboarding users and businesses into a Bitcoin circular economy

I’m Destiny Smart. After learning Bitcoin through programs like The Core and working with Blink and connected and contributed with global Bitcoiners and initiative, I felt inspired and wanted to share the knowledge and more with others. That’s when I started Bitcoin Africa Story — to share Bitcoin’s benefits with my community in Nigeria and beyond. Africa is the goal

Through content, classes, storytelling, and real-world use, we aim to make Bitcoin useful, accessible, and empowering for everyday Africans
